I know that somebody mentioned in one of the newsletters that they were wondering about techers from days gone by. Perhaps, in this more interactive venue, we can get some answers.

Where are some of those notable teachers from my era: Mr Korzak, Mr Heathcock, Ms Pedwell, Mr [little] Smith [I ran into him at the CIBC on Lorne Park Rd about 10 years ago]?

Is there anywhere we can contact (the School Board?) to make enqueries or, as is likely the case, is this confidential and not our business?

Roberta Price (Henhoeffer) graduated 1986

I would love to know where Miss stanowski from phys. ed. ended up. She was a real ball of energy in gym class. Other notable's were Heathcock (music) and Mr. Long (geography). This three teachers were also great on the Algonguin Bound trip in the '84-'85 school year. I really liked Mr. Savage (history). He had such an intensity for the subject. Who could ever forget his debates ... it sure kept you awake. Whatever happened to Miss McCabe (music)? I also thought Mr. Farwell (science) was a good teacher. He really continued to pound the subject into you until you really understood it.
That's all ... the memories for names has sure faded! I had to drag out my yearbooks to remember a few!

Hopefully a few of these faces will show up at the October 2007 reunion.

I think Mr. Long is still teaching at LP, Ms. Stanowski was teaching last year (I haven't seen her this year), and I know Mr. H shows up every year at Commencement to present a music award.
